museum & early intervention | spring & summer 2017
From its inception, I had the opportunity to fully engage, participate, and influence the conceptual and programmatic phase for the non-profit organization, Midwest Children’s Museum. In assistance to the Project Architect and Project Manager, my presence and inquiry in client meetings allowed me to fully grasp the business and needs of the client, not only exposing me to professional conceptual design processes, but also how relationships with clients are established and developed. Participation of in-office design charrettes allowed me to create and share a strong, but simple building concept that was chosen and further developed into the renderings provided.
Project duties under the supervision and direction of my superiors included conceptual form design, spatial programming, diagrams, 3D modeling, participation in presenting to client and the organization’s board of directors. In July of 2017, the project was presented to the mayor and aldermen group of the city of Lake St. Louis and later to 130 potential project donors. All work completed on behalf of M+H Architects.
